• Travel extensively to customer sites across the Americas for installation, maintenance, and warranty work on industrial power generation equipment • Provide on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants for Steam Turbine Generator Systems • Review plant engineering documents and P&IDs • Troubleshoot plant systems and equipment • Plan, organize, integrate, and direct labor, tools, and materials to complete contractual work scopes • Safely manage maintenance and repair of power-generation equipment • Perform generator inspections, including visual inspections, non-destructive testing, and performance testing • Conduct insulation resistance, winding resistance, low-voltage, and high-voltage tests • Interpret test results to assess generator condition • Diagnose generator faults and determine root causes • Execute generator repairs, including winding, stator, and rotor repairs • Perform routine generator maintenance • Collaborate with customer personnel to understand needs and challenges • Identify and resolve technical issues and recommend reliability improvements • Prepare reports on inspection findings, test results, and repair work • Maintain accurate activity records and communicate findings to stakeholders • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications • Participate in ongoing training and professional development
• Technical Degree, Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with a 3.0 or higher GPA; or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of Field Services or power-generation equipment maintenance experience • Experience using Megohmmeters, Hipot test sets, Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeters, and Multimeters • Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% to projects and field assignments • Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required • Ability to obtain unescorted security clearance at nuclear power facilities • Valid Canadian Driver’s License and Canadian passport • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including hot or cold conditions, confined spaces, stairs, and heights • Prior experience as a field engineer, winder, or comparable role • Experience working on customer sites • Experience performing maintenance and testing on electrical generators • Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics, drawings, flow diagrams, and instrument diagrams • Technically oriented, fast learner, and self-starter • English proficiency required
