📋 Description

• Own enterprise content migrations end-to-end, including scoping, customer communication, execution, and delivery • Work directly with customers to understand content structures and set accurate expectations • Write and run transformation scripts to parse, normalize, and import content from PDF, HTML, RST, Confluence exports, custom CMS dumps, and other source formats • Build reusable tooling and pipelines to make each migration faster • Define and document a repeatable migration process and playbook • Partner with Solutions Engineers pre-sale to scope migration complexity and inform deal strategy • Provide product feedback based on field experience • Present an approach to a realistic migration scenario during the technical exercise

🎯 Requirements

• Ownership mindset; able to define processes, flag problems early, and proactively determine what to build • Technical depth in document formats and comfort parsing and transforming messy, structured, and semi-structured content at scale • Ability to determine when to write custom parsers versus use off-the-shelf tools • Customer-facing credibility; able to explain complexity, manage timelines, and communicate difficult news clearly • Focus on creating reusable tooling rather than repeating manual work • Pragmatic approach focused on delivering clean content reliably • Experience with Python for transformation scripts and automation • Experience with GitBook’s API and Git Sync for content ingestion and structuring • Familiarity with Markdown, RST, HTML, XML, PDF text extraction, and Confluence XML exports • Familiarity with shell scripting, Git, and basic data wrangling • Helpful but not required: content management systems, structured content formats such as DITA or DocBook, or work at a developer tools/documentation company
