📋 Description

• Build AI agents and agentic workflows from scratch, including agent loops, tool-calling, structured outputs, planning and state, retries, guardrails, and orchestration/harness layers • Integrate large language models through provider APIs including Anthropic, OpenAI, open-weight models, and MCP • Ship internal AI automations that reduce engineering, support, and growth toil • Automate engineering workflows and pull-request review across GitHub, Slack, Intercom, and Jira • Build support deflection and social/market-listening automations • Build bespoke in-product AI capabilities for the trading terminal and developer experience with Product and Core Platform Engineering • Prototype and productionize AI capabilities with the platform team • Own buy-vs-build decisions for AI solutions • Add evaluation, observability, and cost controls to every shipped system • Operate within SOC 2 / ISO-track security and AI-governance requirements • Handle source code, customer data, and product data responsibly • Write and own production code, operating autonomously in a lean team • Report to the COO and partner with the CTO, Head of Product, and Head of IT & Security • Deliver measured, reliable AI systems in production that create time savings or product value

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of production software engineering experience • Deep experience with APIs, integrations, and systems, including REST, webhooks, OAuth, event-driven systems, and distributed systems • End-to-end ownership of production integrations • 2–3+ years building and shipping production LLM/agent systems from scratch against provider APIs • Personal experience writing agent loops, orchestration/harness layers, tool-calling, structured outputs, guardrails, and RAG for real users • Hands-on fluency in Python and TypeScript • Production software engineering and code ownership; no-code/low-code or advisory experience alone is insufficient • Experience with evaluation and observability, including golden datasets, evaluation harnesses, tracing, cost/latency guardrails, and graceful failure • Deep fluency with Anthropic, OpenAI, open-weight LLM APIs, MCP, and agent frameworks • Fluency using AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor • Experience with AWS and/or DigitalOcean, Docker, CI/CD, SQL, and Postgres • Strong buy-vs-build judgment and security/data-governance maturity • Ability to work with production and customer data responsibly • High autonomy in a lean team • Availability in the EU/UK timezone with solid overlap with Central European hours • Go experience is a strong plus • Fintech, trading, or market-data domain experience, or genuine experience as a trading-platform user, is a plus • Open-source contributions to AI tooling such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, vLLM, or DSPy are a plus • Production RAG and vector database experience is a plus • Code-generation, transpilation, or developer-experience tooling experience is a plus • Prior forward-deployed, applied-AI, or internal-enablement engineering experience is a plus
