📋 Description

• Influence the roadmap and personal career objectives • Deliver new features and iterate based on results • Drive projects from initial idea through production operations • Contribute to open-source projects outside the team’s direct scope • Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning reliability, performance, and availability • Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations and own running services • Support team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate with the squad • Improve performance and reliability through production operations • Write and review pull requests and design documents • Shepherd automated release rollouts • Learn the cloud product, customer needs, and large distributed-system codebase

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience with at least one programming language; familiarity with Go, Python, C, C++, Rust or similar • Experience leading and delivering projects from requirements gathering through customer delivery • Experience developing software that runs in the Cloud or experience with systems engineering • Experience with on-call and the DevOps model • Experience writing clean, robust, performant, maintainable software • Familiarity with observability systems, including metrics, logs, and traces • Comfort with microservices architecture and distributed systems • Experience and comfort developing with LLMs like Claude and Codex • Strong collaboration, communication, and time management skills • Experience working with Kubernetes, queue systems such as Kafka, Grafana, Prometheus, or infrastructure as code is a bonus • Candidates must be located in Canada; the posting also states USA time zones, which conflicts with the Canada-specific location and compensation
