📋 Description

• Design the end-to-end architecture for Gravie’s operational data platform • Ingest and process data streams using technologies such as Kafka, Debezium, and Flink • Define and govern reference architectures and canonical data models for domains such as claims and enrollment • Define Data Contract standards and processes and activate them with partner teams • Establish and enforce data governance frameworks and internal and external RBAC access controls with HIPAA compliance in mind • Lead evaluation and selection of real-time data technologies aligned with Gravie’s compliance needs and strategic direction • Serve as architectural authority for complex design decisions and identify tradeoffs in time, cost, and complexity • Proactively identify architectural risks • Provide technical coaching and mentorship to Data Producer and Consumer teams • Advance Gravie’s Data Platform innovation and activate practical AI use cases

🎯 Requirements

• 8–15 years of experience architecting and operating large-scale data integrations, streaming pipelines, and operational data movement in a cloud environment • Strong hands-on experience with Kafka, Flink, and Debezium (or similar) • Understanding of stateful stream processing and “exactly-once” delivery semantics • Extensive experience with AWS • Deep understanding of data observability concepts including freshness, distribution, volume, schema, and lineage • Prior experience in a healthcare setting • Deep understanding of HIPAA, ePHI, secure data exchange, and access with external parties • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python • Foundational knowledge of JVM-based languages such as Java highly preferred • Ability to independently drive complex, ambiguous problems to concrete, measurable solutions aligned with business goals • Ability to drive results through influence and collaboration and translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and executive leadership • Previous venture-backed start-up company experience • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States • Must answer whether employer visa sponsorship is required
