📋 Description

• Embed with power engineers and the U.S. go-to-market team to map workflows, constraints and high-leverage tooling opportunities • Serve as the primary field customer and product partner for tooling built with Product and Engineering • Dogfood new FDE and AI tooling on live work and pressure-test usefulness, correctness, reliability and fit • Turn field evidence into requirements, priorities and acceptance criteria • Investigate data, write Python and SQL, build prototypes and integrations, debug workflows, and support high-priority customer work • Lead rollout across the U.S. team, including onboarding, training and support during real engagements • Establish operating standards, measure adoption and outcomes, and prevent regression to older workflows • Define quality standards for AI-assisted work, human-review requirements, and processes for capturing lessons and failure modes • Convert recurring field needs into reusable workflows, product capabilities and playbooks • Help leadership define engagement criteria, decision rights, handoffs and success measures

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building and shipping maintainable software inside a product-engineering organisation • Meaningful power or utility context; experience in power systems, utilities, grid technology or adjacent critical infrastructure strongly preferred • Fluency in Python, SQL, APIs, data pipelines, cloud systems and modern developer tooling • Experience with modern data and AI workflows; Databricks and AI-native developer or agentic tooling valuable • Rigorous approaches to evaluation, security and correctness • Ability to discover root problems and distinguish one-off requests from repeatable needs • Strong product judgement translating technical user needs into useful tools • Experience driving adoption of tools or workflows with busy technical teams under live delivery pressure • Credibility in complex enterprise environments and ability to communicate with engineers, utility leaders and executives • High agency, low ego and sound judgement; ability to lead without hierarchy • Willingness to travel regularly and spend meaningful time with customers and the U.S. team • Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, customer-embedded product engineer or technical lead helpful but not required
