📋 Description

• Improve controls and cyber security governance across the Craft function • Translate standards and regulatory expectations into practical engineering controls • Build and ship production code implementing security and compliance controls • Own certifications and attestations, including SWIFT and FPS, and future schemes such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 • Prepare and maintain certification and audit documentation • Own internal and external audits and customer due diligence requests • Drive audit findings and actions through to closure • Manage Engineering Risk and Controls Self Assessments • Manage recurring control activities such as chaos testing and backup/restore • Improve code release and change management processes and sample releases for policy adherence • Conduct post-incident reviews, manage follow-up actions and share learnings • Support operational resilience through disaster recovery plans and Important Business Service technical mapping • Help manage engineering third parties alongside Operations • Collaborate with Engineering teams, CTO, Founder, auditors, control functions and other stakeholders • Initially report to the Engineering Manager for Infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on engineering or technical background • Experience writing and shipping production code • Engineering-first approach to turning standards into practical controls and technical delivery • Experience in security, compliance, risk or assurance within a technical environment • Experience owning or significantly contributing to audits, certifications or attestations • Strong knowledge of compliance, risk and cyber security principles • Broad understanding of change and release management, incident management, operational resilience and third-party governance • Strong analytical and assurance skills • Stakeholder management and influencing skills across Engineering, SMEs, auditors and control functions • Strong writing ability, with emphasis on clarity and readability • Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, SWIFT and FPS, ideally from a regulated fintech or challenger bank environment • Experience using automation and code to improve security, compliance or control processes and documentation • Successful candidate must complete background screening, including right-to-work, criminal record, credit history, social media and professional reference checks • Required to have banking experience (application question)
