📋 Description

• Propose and build solutions encompassing the various disciplines of the development lifecycle, focusing on meeting non-functional requirements and optimizing costs; • Participate in technical discussions, presenting facts and data, and execute the architectures designed according to team priorities, contributing opinions and experience with good judgment; • Create ADRs / design docs for the team’s solutions; • Ensure active monitoring of the production environment, with focus on critical user journeys; • Track/monitor, critique and disseminate metrics and trade-offs of technical solutions and identify feasible solution paths; • Take initiative and ownership in the face of incidents and outages, focusing on troubleshooting and root cause resolution; • Ensure proper documentation of post-mortems and the execution of action plans to address root causes; • Help teammates grow technically through pairing, code reviews and constructive feedback; • Share technical knowledge with team members and act as a reference for them; • Engage with developers outside the team, sharing best practices; • Develop reusable, high-impact artifacts for the squad/tribe; • Actively participate in product discussions, contributing to analysis, refinement, and documentation of functional and non-functional requirements; • Prioritize activities that have the greatest impact on team performance, anticipate problems and help teammates unblock; • Take initiative during planning and refinement to turn abstract ideas into actionable tasks; • Define solutions and actively participate in epic refinement, using your knowledge of the squad’s domain and adjacent domains; • Write code with a security-first mindset, seeking input from security focal points when necessary; • Increase the tested and automated coverage across applications; • Be an influential supporter for developers to raise the quality and reliability of produced code, acting as an ambassador of quality and operations within the team.

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to work autonomously in a cross-functional, multi-language, collaborative environment; • Strong backend development experience, preferably using Python and/or TypeScript (Node.js); • Solid experience and background in implementing and defining strategies for automated testing (unit/e2e/regression); • Strong experience developing software using relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL/datastore solutions (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB, DocumentDB); • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), GitFlow, GitHub, GitHub Actions and SonarQube; • Knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous architectures; • Experience with Incident Management and familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic, Crashlytics, etc.; • Knowledge of AWS platform fundamentals and services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, RDS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Amazon ElastiCache for Redis, AWS Glue, etc.); • Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban; • Documentation culture: document processes, post-mortems, APIs, ADRs; and influence the team to build and maintain documentation; • It will be a plus if you have: • Experience with experimentation practices and tools, such as VWO, Optimizely and Firebase A/B Testing; • Knowledge of hexagonal architecture or clean architecture; • Front-end development knowledge (e.g., React, Next.js); • Hybrid mobile development knowledge (e.g., Flutter); • Experience in developing AI Agents (e.g., Agno).
