β’ Develop and implement scientifically rigorous Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) strategies for assigned assets and development programmes β’ Guide selection, adaptation, development, validation, and implementation of COA instruments in clinical trials and observational studies β’ Establish endpoint approaches and evidence plans supporting regulatory and reimbursement decisions β’ Apply qualitative research methods, psychometric principles, and statistical approaches to evaluate COA measurement properties β’ Design and execute COA development and validation studies, including patient experience data collection and analysis β’ Deliver high-quality, timely Measurement Sciences outputs and COA strategy deliverables β’ Support digital measures and technology-enabled endpoint strategies β’ Collaborate with digital health, data science, and technology partners on digital endpoints β’ Work cross-functionally with clinical operations, biostatistics, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, and other stakeholders β’ Ensure PRO/COA are accurately described in protocols, statistical analysis plans, clinical study reports, and publications β’ Contribute to briefing documents, health authority responses, and regulatory submissions β’ Support regulatory interactions and prepare scientific summaries related to COA strategies β’ Contribute to publications, conference presentations, and industry working groups β’ Build relationships with external collaborators, academic partners, and vendors β’ Promote consistent methodologies, reusable endpoints, standards, templates, and best practices across the portfolio β’ Represent Measurement Sciences in asset teams, study teams, and governance forums β’ Support scientific excellence, knowledge sharing, capability development, and continuous learning
β’ Bachelor's degree in psychometrics, health outcomes research, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, behavioural science, biomedical engineering, data science, or a related discipline β’ 5+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, digital health, CRO, or academic settings β’ Demonstrated expertise in COAs, patient-centred outcomes, or related measurement science disciplines β’ Working knowledge of FDA PFDD Guidances and relevant international regulatory frameworks, such as EMA reflection papers β’ Awareness of evolving frameworks for digital measures and digital endpoints β’ Experience contributing to the development, validation, or implementation of COA instruments or digital measures in clinical trials β’ Familiarity with psychometric analysis, mixed-effects models, and responder analyses β’ Record of contribution to scientific publications, conference presentations, or external working groups β’ Advanced degree is preferred, not required β’ Experience working cross-functionally in a clinical development environment β’ Experience in oncology, respiratory, hepatology, or infectious disease and vaccines is preferred β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills
