📋 Description

• Design and implement training programs for onboarding, skills refreshers, and updates on regulatory or payer changes. • Serve as a real-time support resource for staff handling escalated or complex financial navigation issues. • Create and maintain training materials including workflow documents, payer reference guides, and tip sheets. • Support the accurate completion of Good Faith Estimates, self-pay workflows, and insurance education efforts. • Analyze trends in coverage denials or payment delays and deliver targeted education based on root-cause findings. • Collaborate with the CBO and other revenue cycle partners to promote consistency in financial documentation and patient communication. • Host workflow review meetings and case study discussions to encourage best practice sharing and peer learning. • Remain current on insurance requirements, coding updates, and federal patient protection regulations. • Provide coverage for front-line navigation needs during periods of high volume or staff shortage. • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and propose adjustments based on performance metrics and team feedback.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience in financial navigation, benefits counseling, or patient access operations • Prior experience delivering staff education or mentoring strongly preferred • Expert-level understanding of health insurance benefits, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and payer coverage requirements • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to coach a wide range of learner types • Strong analytical, time management, and documentation skills • Familiarity with Epic workflows and payer portals • Able to manage competing priorities and adapt training based on team and regulatory needs.
