📋 Description

• Assist companies in understanding technically complex emerging technologies and associated commercial challenges and opportunities • Conduct detailed research through interviews, event attendance, patent analysis and tracking global trends • Assess commercial opportunities of emerging technologies • Write company profiles assessing technologies, readiness levels and market need • Compile research into articles and reports covering technology assessments, market insights, market opportunities and forecasts • Provide custom research for clients' consulting requests • Support business development by demonstrating technical and commercial knowledge to potential clients • Determine customer research needs • Promote IDTechEx and research through articles, webinars, video interviews, media responses, presentations and infographics • Represent IDTechEx at international events and organizational visits • Present research findings and strategic insights • Assist with training programs and topic-specific strategies • Help the business development team win new opportunities and champion the company • Travel internationally to learn about developments, meet customers and innovative companies, disseminate knowledge and promote IDTechEx

🎯 Requirements

• Strong record of academic achievement, including A/A* A-Level Mathematics • Master's degree ideally from a top UK or internationally ranked university • Some technical/commercial experience is preferable • Desire and drive to continuously learn about technology innovations, their real-world applications, market status and player activities • Excellent ability to seek out and present compelling new information and articulate an analysis verbally and in writing, with accompanying visuals • Comfortable calling and talking to many people in a business-to-business environment • Ability to effectively question interviewees to compile useful research • Excellent capability to distil significant levels of information from multiple sources into clear, relevant analysis and conclusions • Strong attention to detail and quantitative problem-solving skills • Experienced user of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Confident giving technical presentations in front of an audience • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively • Ability to coach and motivate others when necessary • Must be able to commit to regular travel • Strong English language skills • Proficiency in Chinese, German, Japanese or Korean is advantageous but not necessary
