📋 Description

• Review, adapt, and develop existing materials into a fully self-paced curriculum • Author lessons, explanations, worked examples, activities, and assessments to agreed templates, structures, and quality standards • Write to relevant iGCSE and International A-Level specifications, exam-board requirements, and mark schemes • Design auto-marked, self-checking, and teacher-feedback assessments • Structure and sequence content for independent learners using chunking, scaffolding, retrieval practice, and purposeful digital interactions • Build courses within school systems using agreed templates, branding, and available technology • Create multimedia resources including video lessons, voiceovers, screencasts, interactive tools, and knowledge checks • Apply accessibility and inclusion standards, including SEND awareness, readability, alt text, and WCAG considerations • Work to production schedules and agreed milestones • Submit drafts for editorial/QA review and revise based on feedback • Use third-party content legally and create compliant, properly owned intellectual property for long-term use

🎯 Requirements

• Current or recent teacher with a teaching qualification and strong subject and curriculum knowledge • Experience developing lesson materials for online delivery • Experience of asynchronous lesson design / course development • Understanding of how to design for independent, self-paced learners • Assessment design aligned to iGCSE and International A-Level specifications, exam-board requirements, and mark schemes • Experience working with an LMS / VLE • Willing and able to record video lessons and voiceovers; comfortable on camera and mic • Awareness of accessibility and inclusion (SEND, WCAG, readability) • Self-motivated and self-managing; works to deadlines, comfortable working remotely and autonomously, and confident taking ownership of a course from initial specification through to finished build • Experience of synchronous lesson design • Familiarity with iGCSE and International A-Level exam-board requirements and specification alignment • Interactive content authoring and interest in using digital tools for active, responsive, engaging learning • Basic media editing • Understanding of GDPR, copyright/licensing, and safeguarding in online education • Must be willing to work from the UK • Successful applicants undergo pre-employment background checks
