📋 Description
• Develop and implement a proactive public policy strategy to promote and protect business interests with a key focus on addiction policy • Design and implement integrated government affairs strategies • Oversee engagement at all levels of the Federal government • Identify and anticipate emerging policy and administration developments • Maintain effective communication with senior leadership • Adjust government affairs strategy as needed • Work collaboratively with the company’s business teams • Advocate for the company’s positions on federal public policy matters
🎯 Requirements
• BS or BA degree required • 15+ years of experience in Pharmaceuticals, Government, Government Affairs, or Policy. Strong preference for experience on Capitol Hill, federal agency or similar • Extensive knowledge of the U.S. health care system • Previous work history within the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry a must • Experience managing and developing teams • Effectively manage multiple projects or roles in a rapidly evolving environment • Exhibit acute political sensitivity • Ability to work cross-functionally in an organization and partner with outside groups such as advocates and associations
