📋 Description

• Using Claude Code, Codex and other current AI-coding tools, you will develop AI-assisted applications, backend modules and automations in Laravel and PHP • From the initial idea to production deployment, you will design and orchestrate AI agents and workflows to automate real business processes • You will build production-ready AI features, including integrating LLM APIs, using embeddings and vector databases, and implementing RAG services and tool-calling pipelines • Scalable API flows, background jobs, cron jobs and microservices are part of your responsibilities, as well as their reliable and secure operation • As a technical driver, you will own architecture decisions, code quality and standards, and support the team in the effective use of AI-coding tools • You will regularly evaluate new models, technologies and tools for their added value and integrate suitable approaches into our systems and processes • Together with business units, you will identify automation and AI opportunities and actively shape our technical AI roadmap

🎯 Requirements

• A degree or comparable qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field • At least five years of experience developing web applications and backends, including solid practical experience with Laravel and PHP • Hands-on, production experience with AI-coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or comparable applications • Proven experience deploying AI solutions in production, particularly with LLMs, embeddings, RAG and ideally agentic systems • Strong knowledge of process automation and development of API flows, background jobs and microservices • Confident working with relational databases such as MariaDB, MySQL or DuckDB, as well as with Eloquent ORM, Docker and GitLab CI/CD • Experience with automated testing, for example PHPUnit or Pest • Ideally experience in technical leadership, architecture work or mentoring • Enthusiasm for new AI technologies and an independent, solution-oriented working style • Conversational German language skills
