📋 Description

• Independently manage the full range of Specialty Finance Lending activities from new business origination through transaction close and active account management • Serve as the primary customer contact for originated transactions when appropriate • Prospect, develop business, negotiate documents, manage customer relations, and maintain accounts to maximize revenue and fee income • Source new SFL facilities through direct marketing, targeted prospects, existing channels, and other specialty finance lenders • Lead or execute sourcing, structuring, pricing, proposal development, negotiation, due diligence, underwriting, documentation, closing, and ongoing facility management • Handle remedial management or workout activities when required • Assist with syndication of SFL facilities and educate or train existing syndicators • Develop potential syndication partners through industry networking, research, and market knowledge • Research and develop new markets and product channels, including preparing position papers and white papers • Present expansion opportunities to senior management and internal or external audiences • Build knowledge of Key products and services and develop product-partner relationships for cross-sell opportunities • Grow the portfolio by achieving asset-under-management, facility-fee, and syndication-fee targets while maintaining appropriate risk tolerances • Maintain account relationships and maximize revenue from existing facilities, including new and renewed commitments and transaction, closing, waiver, amendment, syndication, and other fees • Maintain industry, product, structure, client, and investor knowledge and attend relevant industry conferences • Mentor and train junior sales personnel • Comply with KeyBank policies and procedures and conduct business ethically

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required, with concentration in business or finance • MBA preferred • 10+ years of corporate finance, lending, and leasing experience, including at least 3 years focused on structured facilities for the specialty lending market • 5+ years of senior-level financial sales and business development experience with a proven track record of success • Broad capital markets knowledge of lease-related asset-based lending and structured debt placement activities • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills • Strong risk assessment, structuring, and remedial management skills • Strong documentation and negotiation skills • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player • Proficiency in sourcing, structuring, pricing, proposal development, due diligence, underwriting, documentation, closing, and facility management • Ability to mentor and train junior sales personnel • Ability to comply with KeyBank policies, procedures, ethical standards, and conflict-of-interest requirements
