📋 Description

• Build and own high-quality React Native features end to end • Translate ambiguous client problems into solution designs, implementations, launches, measurements, and iterations • Partner with Product and Design to shape responsive and trustworthy financial experiences • Work on product discovery, trading, and simplified client journeys • Use APIs and dynamic or real-time data while making decisions on state management, rendering, performance, architecture, and reliability • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and collaboration to raise the product-engineering bar • Help build Kraken’s new app for Asian markets • Guide the team on regional UX and design expectations, firewall/connectivity restrictions, vendors, and telemetry tooling

🎯 Requirements

• Strong React Native experience, including shipping meaningful production applications • Sound architectural and implementation decision-making in a modern mobile codebase • Product-building mindset and strong product judgment • End-to-end feature ownership, from problem definition through launch, measurement, and iteration • Experience building responsive, data-rich applications using APIs and dynamic or real-time data • Written and verbal English • Comfortable using AI tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude while retaining engineering judgment and quality responsibility • Proven experience building and shipping consumer mobile apps for Asian markets • Understanding of Asian UX and design conventions, technical limitations, firewall and connectivity restrictions, and launch challenges • Nice to have: fintech, trading, crypto, payments, or financial technology experience • Nice to have: real-time or streaming data and mobile performance/reliability experience • Nice to have: mobile and web experience or startup/small-to-medium technology company experience • Nice to have: Swift or Kotlin experience • Nice to have: Chinese/Mandarin or another Asian language proficiency
