📋 Description

• Lead formation of technical strategy for Foundational Services • Assist in planning and implementing work across supported services • Design, implement, and maintain robust platform solutions for availability and security • Work with stakeholders to provide seamless access to systems, applications, and data • Implement planned projects and support operational tickets from internal customers • Perform hands-on coding, debugging, and deployment of fixes • Design scalable architectures integrating infrastructure services with technology teams • Create documentation, diagrams, and proof-of-concepts • Participate in planning sessions, roadmap discussions, and architecture reviews • Provide strategy and subject matter expertise for load balancing, IPAM, DNS, Hashicorp Vault, and PKI certificate management • Identify and address stability, capacity, and performance concerns using Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk • Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions • Complete Jira project work using SAFe methodology • Commit infrastructure build, automation, and test code to GitLab • Support PCI and security compliance requirements • Liaise with Networking, Data Center Ops, Security, and other teams • Respond to, recover from, and prevent failures and outages • Provide mentorship and coaching to junior team members • Report directly to the Foundational Services Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with most supported technologies, including Netscaler Load Balancing, Hashicorp Vault, DNS, certificate management and PKI, egress proxies, Fastly, and Apigee • Strong understanding of security protocols, compliance standards, and cloud and on-prem datacenter environments • Experience supporting a high-volume 24x7 production environment • Experience with GitLab, CI/CD tooling, monitoring and alerting, and SRE practices • Understanding of PCI compliance and security best practices • Desired software development experience in Python, Java, or Go • Understanding of software design patterns, code reviews, and Git-based version control • Experience with Agile methodologies • Experience working as a key contributor in a fully remote team • Extremely knowledgeable on a majority of in-scope services • Ability to work on highly strategic, complex, and high-risk undertakings • Autonomous and proactive • Exceptional problem-solving ability • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Comfortable working in cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams • Strong concern for security and compliance implications • Willingness to participate in on-call and potentially after-hours support as required
