• Plan, direct, and lead sales activities for the Medtronic CoreValve System and future catheter-based therapy technologies • Assist with sales training • Develop and implement strategies for sustainable business relationships and therapy growth • Achieve revenue targets, profitability, and safe growth for TAVR • Hire, onboard, develop, mentor, and retain sales representatives and clinical specialists • Ensure district field teams are credentialed and in good standing at hospitals • Oversee district structure, organizational planning, account qualification, rollout, territory alignment, and compensation considerations • Manage performance feedback, coaching, development planning, training, objective setting, and performance reviews • Manage annual operating plans, quotas, budgets, and forecasts • Ensure product and procedure complaints are reported according to policy • Conduct field travel, visits, observations, measurements, and follow-up reporting • Establish territory quotas and ensure strategies meet or exceed plan • Implement sales and marketing programs • Monitor healthcare economics, product portfolios, clinical data, and competitive activity • Coordinate Medtronic CVG sales teams and internal stakeholders • Monitor expenses and customer inventory allocation • Develop solutions for customer business needs and build relationships with key accounts • Attend and develop quarterly district clinical/sales meetings and attend key society conventions • Communicate best practices, education-program impact, competitive activities, and customer responses to the CBT Business Unit • Collaborate with education, marketing, clinical, regulatory, quality, supply, and R&D teams
• Bachelor’s Degree • 7+ years of medical sales experience • 5+ years managing medical sales representatives • Prior sales experience in Surgical, Cardiac OR, Cath Lab, EP, Interventional Cardiology, Endovascular, or Cardiac Surgery preferred/desirable • At least 5 years of leadership/management experience in relevant cardiovascular fields preferred • Well-rounded business and financial acumen • Prior product launch experience • C-suite selling experience • Experience working in a matrix organization • Prior market development experience • Proven successful sales track record • Prior KOL management experience • Experience building and maintaining successful sales teams • Experience balancing company profitability and customer goals • Willingness to travel 75% or more and be based near a major airport • Prior sales training or clinical education training • Strong relationship-building ability across functions and levels • Strong leadership, influencing, consulting, interpersonal, written communication, decision-making, and integrity skills • Ability to attract and manage a diverse workforce • Experience introducing new technologies and therapies • Valid driver’s license for state of residency • Active vehicle insurance policy • Ability to travel extensively by car and plane • Ability to work in Cath Labs and/or operating rooms with radiation exposure • Ability to wear a lead apron and required PPE • Ability to lift 20 pounds • Ability to work outside typical Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm hours • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire and throughout employment for roles below Principal level • For foreign baccalaureate degrees, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
