📋 Description

• Own the reliability, scalability, and observability of critical financial SaaS applications and infrastructure • Design, implement, and maintain SLOs and SLIs across critical systems • Lead monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing architecture and deploy observability tools • Build runbooks, incident response procedures, and post-incident review processes • Mentor the team on incident management and blameless postmortems • Architect and deploy AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure • Implement infrastructure-as-code, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices • Develop automation and AIOps capabilities for incident detection, self-healing, and intelligent alerting • Drive reliability improvements through load testing, chaos engineering, and failure scenario analysis • Partner with application and backend teams on reliable system design, architecture reviews, and reliability assessments • Write production-grade Python tooling for automation, metrics collection, alert management, and operational workflows • Champion infrastructure security and compliance in a regulated fintech environment

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or closely related roles with significant responsibility for production systems • Expert-level experience with Azure or AWS; deep knowledge of compute, networking, storage, and managed services • Experience managing infrastructure at scale • Expertise designing and implementing monitoring, alerting, logging, and distributed tracing solutions • Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or New Relic • Strong background in SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs; understanding of error budgets • Experience designing and troubleshooting highly available, resilient, and scalable systems • Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts and failure modes • Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, bash, and similar scripting languages • Hands-on experience with AIOps practices including event correlation, intelligent alerting, predictive analytics, and automated remediation • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible • Experience with version control and CI/CD pipeline design • Track record of incident management and on-call ownership • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers • Preferred: experience in fintech, payments, banking, or regulated industries • Preferred: experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration • Preferred: observability as code, chaos engineering, open-source contributions, security hardening, and database optimization
