📋 Description

• Perform functional and non-functional testing, including performance, accessibility, security, operational, and user acceptance testing, within an Agile team • Develop and maintain test automation solutions and scripts • Promote testing best practices within the development team • Develop and maintain performance, load, and stress testing solutions using standard or open-source tools • Resolve testing problems and blockers • Collaborate with geographically distributed cross-functional teams • Manage defects, ensuring effective triage through resolution • Promote robust testing practices and influence stakeholder adoption • Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders • Provide accurate updates on testing progress and outcomes • Work at client sites on complex systems

🎯 Requirements

• Experience devising TDD/BDD or Acceptance Test Driven Development strategies using a range of tools/frameworks • Strong Java coding experience and knowledge of automated test frameworks such as Serenity and RestAssured • Strong experience using API testing tools, ideally Postman • Experience integrating testing into Secure-SDLC and CI/CD tooling in a DevSecOps environment • Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab SaaS, Artifactory, Nexus, or similar tools • Experience testing citizen-facing services • Experience testing highly scalable, distributed, cloud-native (PaaS/FaaS) and microservice-oriented applications • Experience with containerisation, container orchestration, service mesh, messaging, proxies, APIs, persistent and ephemeral storage • Experience using formal Test Management tools such as Jira/Confluence and ALM • Awareness of Application Lifecycle Management and IT Service Management • Experience with Splunk, Grafana, and ServiceNow • Desirable: experience with JavaScript automation frameworks such as WebdriverIO and Playwright • Desirable: experience running stress/load testing using K6 and Grafana or similar open-source tools • Desirable: knowledge of Microsoft Azure Portal • Desirable: ISEB Certification in Software Testing • Desirable: experience with data migration projects • Desirable: experience working in the Public Sector • Must have or be willing to go through Security Clearance • Must complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard as part of onboarding
