• Lead one of the Investigation and Disruption Teams within the Criminal Enforcement Unit • Lead the CEU’s investigations and disruption capability • Direct complex, intelligence-led investigations and multi-agency operations • Deliver successful prosecutions and reduce serious criminal threats • Prioritise investigative resources effectively • Deliver criminal justice and other PURSUE interventions • Build and strengthen professional capability through people leadership, resource management and continuous improvement • Ensure high standards of investigative practice, governance and compliance • Develop strategic partnerships across government, policing, the CPS and international law enforcement • Provide insight, governance and organisational capability supporting intelligence- and operational-led enforcement activity
• Recent management experience within an investigative law enforcement environment • Strong understanding of complex criminal investigations and enforcement • Recent experience leading multidisciplinary teams • Experience building effective partnerships across law enforcement, regulatory and multi-agency environments • Proven track record leading serious and organised crime investigations • Experience delivering criminal justice, disruption and threat-reduction interventions • Experience using performance frameworks, management information and key performance indicators • Experience leading multidisciplinary team activity within a serious and complex crime operational environment • Experience developing and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders • Experience delivering organisational improvement, innovation or change initiatives • Current PIP2 (Manager) accreditation, or equivalent recognised investigative management qualification • Significant recent experience leading teams responsible for investigating and disrupting serious and complex crime, including strategic management of complex criminal investigations and prosecutions • Candidates subject to UK immigration requirements and Civil Service nationality rules • Successful candidates must pass disclosure and barring, animal rights and pro-life activism, and relevant personnel security checks • Applicants successful at interview subject to an Internal Fraud Database check
