Mirtos is a volunteer-run Dutch foundation (Mirtos Animal Project) that rescues, cares for and rehomes stray dogs and cats from Greece. The organization partners with local animal rescuers and shelters in Greece, arranges foster care, transport and adoption placements across Western Europe, and raises funds and donations to cover medical care and transport costs. Their site provides adoption listings, remote sponsorship options, volunteer and donation channels, and information for prospective adopters.
