📋 Description

• Modernise and integrate legacy systems with cloud-first, full-stack solutions • Deliver secure, high-performance applications and services • Support the full software development lifecycle from analysis and design through implementation, testing, and deployment • Develop backend services using C#/.NET and ASP.NET Core • Design and implement RESTful APIs • Deploy and manage Azure cloud services and event-driven architectures • Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines • Develop frontend applications using modern SPA frameworks • Integrate frontends with APIs, authentication, and state management • Design and optimise SQL Server/Azure SQL databases • Perform debugging, profiling, and query performance tuning • Apply architecture-level thinking in a Microsoft- and Azure-centric technology environment

🎯 Requirements

• Must physically reside in the United Kingdom • Must hold full, independent right to work in the UK • Visa sponsorship is unavailable • Strong proficiency in C# / .NET and ASP.NET Core • Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs • Experience with asynchronous programming, cancellation tokens, background services, and parallelism • Experience with dependency injection, middleware, and custom service abstractions • Skilled in Domain-Driven Design or modular, testable components • Strong debugging and profiling skills • Solid experience with Azure Function Apps, App Services/Web Apps, API Management, and Azure storage/services • Ability to interpret and design Azure Architecture Center diagrams • Ability to recommend appropriate Azure services • Experience writing and maintaining multi-stage Azure DevOps YAML pipelines • Experience integrating unit, integration, and smoke tests into CI/CD • Understanding of ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform preferred but optional • Understanding and use of deployment slots, release approvals, and feature flags • Strong experience with modern SPA frameworks such as React, Angular, or Blazor • Experience integrating APIs, authentication, and state management • Knowledge of component-based architecture, lazy loading, accessibility, and responsive design • Skilled in T-SQL, views, indexes, and stored procedures • Experience designing normalized and/or denormalized database schemas • Experience managing EF Core migrations, preferably with IEntityTypeConfiguration • Ability to interpret query execution plans for performance tuning • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is desirable • Experience modernising or migrating legacy systems is desirable • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or similar is desirable • Successful DBS and financial background checks required
