📋 Description

• Guide technical decisions and navigate engineering trade-offs • Support engineers in delivering high-quality work • Code, pair program, conduct peer reviews, and drive software and architecture design • Run 1:1s and support career progression • Ensure a strong feedback loop • Collaborate with product and design to shape scope, prioritize effectively, and align on outcomes • Lead and mentor a globally distributed engineering team • Promote best practices in architecture, CI/CD, testing, and code quality • Drive a DevOps mindset from design through deployment and beyond • Architect and deliver scalable, maintainable systems and features • Collaborate with AI specialists to integrate adaptive, personalized learning • Partner with product, design, and data to shape the roadmap and scope work • Improve delivery speed, reliability, workflows, and technical decision-making

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years commercial experience as a Software Engineer • Senior engineering experience in product-led, fast-paced environments • Experience leading teams or large projects ideally • Strong software architecture skills: API-first, modular design, async communications, and scaling patterns • Daily use of LLMs and agentic AI tools • Deep backend expertise • Comfort with modern frontend frameworks; React.js preferred • Fluency in Agile and Lean methodologies • Experience in Docker-based, cloud-native environments • Experience with AWS • Track record of shipping user-facing products • Excellent communication and collaborative skills • UK timezone overlap required • Ability to work across disciplines and time zones
