📋 Description

• Lead delivery of a major commercial lending transformation • Build an innovative agentic AI platform supporting lending and wider bank technology needs over 3 to 4 years • Own end-to-end strategy, design, architecture and execution of AI platforms across lending • Lead the strategic vision and roadmap for the Commercial Lending AI Platform • Own architecture and engineering strategy for Matrix and the wider AI platform ecosystem • Design and deliver enterprise-grade agentic AI platform capabilities, including orchestration frameworks, agent lifecycle management, model and tool integration, retrieval architectures, governance controls, observability and operational controls • Embed modern software engineering practices, automation, reliability engineering and operational excellence at scale • Translate business outcomes into scalable technology solutions with senior stakeholders, product owners, architects and engineering leaders • Oversee the full platform lifecycle from design and implementation through operations, risk management and continuous improvement • Embed security and responsible AI practices • Optimise scheduling and sequencing of initiatives against delivery, adoption, engineering quality, risk and cost objectives • Lead multidisciplinary engineering, platform and architecture teams • Ensure stability, availability, performance and resilience of AI platforms, infrastructure and tooling • Align technology solutions with customer needs, business outcomes and enterprise strategy • Establish reusable platform services, standards, frameworks and engineering patterns across multiple domains • Own financial, commercial and operational platform performance and drive improvements • Represent platform and technology strategy at executive forums and influence senior stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Proven technology leader with significant experience delivering large-scale AI, platform or cloud-native solutions in complex enterprise environments • Deep expertise in platform architecture, modern engineering practices and agentic AI technologies • Track record of building scalable, secure and resilient platforms supporting multiple teams and business domains • Strong technical and architectural leadership • Commercial acumen and stakeholder management expertise • Experience operating in regulated environments • Hands-on experience delivering agentic AI platforms into production • Proven track record enabling organisations to adopt and scale AI safely, securely and effectively at enterprise scale • Experience delivering complex transformation programmes • Experience managing risk and governance requirements • Experience establishing AI platform operating models, engineering standards, governance frameworks and reusable technology capabilities • Strong knowledge of enterprise AI, machine learning and agentic AI technologies in large-scale production environments • Hands-on experience delivering AI platforms supporting model serving, agent orchestration, observability, evaluation, governance and operational management • Expertise leading large, complex technology programmes across multiple teams, disciplines and governance forums • Strong operational, risk, financial management, collaboration and negotiation skills • Ability to operate as both a senior technology executive and hands-on technical leader
