📋 Description
• Collaborate in building the best possible hardware solutions for the Mainframe environment • Engineer infrastructure technology to comply with security, resilience, sustainability, and operational requirements • Apply automation to provide testing and a route to live • Manage the selection, creation, and maintenance of technologies needed to meet customer needs • Develop product roadmaps and manage the lifecycle of the team's products • Support engineered products to respond to customer feedback and feature requests • Take a lead role within a team to design and engineer intuitive, self-service infrastructure products • Build awareness of design thinking tools and techniques with users to improve product
🎯 Requirements
• Experience in Mainframe Infrastructure support • Mainframe hardware configuration • Automation scripting using Python or Shell • Modern infrastructure as code via tooling • Agile working practices and toolsets • Design and configuring Mainframe Hardware solutions including DASD, SAN/FICON connectivity and network infrastructure • Planning and delivering hardware migrations between different generations of IBM z Mainframes • Strong understanding of GDPS architectures and operations, including processor management, DASD replication and Disaster Recovery automation • Technical leadership experience and subject matter expertise • Development of CI or CD pipelines using modern tooling • Testing practices and tools; observability tools and techniques with data and user sentiment to improve solutions • Working with technology deployed to an on premise datacentre
