📋 Description

• Own cloud infrastructure from provisioning through day-to-day operations • Work with the Solutions Architect on significant infrastructure changes • Use Infrastructure as Code as the default and maintain evolving infrastructure • Keep CI/CD pipelines fast and reliable • Investigate and properly resolve pipeline failures or slowdowns • Monitor performance, uptime, and resource usage • Respond to and troubleshoot operational issues • Research industry developments and propose improved approaches • Bring ideas, run technical spikes, and build the case for change • Work with wider teams to understand needs and provide DevOps solutions • Contribute to secure, scalable, and high-performing mission-critical applications across national public-service programmes

🎯 Requirements

• Must hold current UK security clearance • Significant experience running cloud infrastructure in production on AWS • Experience with Azure is a bonus • Knowledge of Terraform beyond the basics; Teragrunt is a bonus • Experience managing complex estates, writing reusable modules, and working across multiple environments • Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes and ArgoCD • Ability to write Python or Bash for automation • Experience creating CI/CD pipelines; CircleCI is a bonus • Understanding of security considerations and risk-based deployment • Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK; documentary evidence required • Satisfactory vetting, references, and occupational health checks required • May require a DBS check • Must currently have SC-level or higher national security vetting clearance, NPPV Level 3, or ability to gain Enhanced Security Clearance in addition to BPSS
