📋 Description

• Participate in the full systems life cycle • Plan, develop and implement the best software solutions • Adhere to and contribute to the MarkMonitor coding standards • Follow Scrum methodologies and lead work planning, estimation and refinement sessions • Collaborate with the team and share responsibility for meeting time commitments • Lead collaboration with team members, other disciplines (e.g., DevOps) and groups (e.g., Product Management) • Actively participate in group improvement activities and initiatives to improve processes and product quality • Document solutions and maintain technical specifications • Plan and lead refactoring, updates, and extensions of existing code and frameworks • Continuously drive improvement and innovation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Design, or a related field • 7+ years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Demonstrable expert knowledge of Java, JavaScript and SQL development and related tools • Knowledge of Linux • Demonstrable expert knowledge of software engineering techniques and methodologies • Experience troubleshooting software issues • Understanding of Agile Scrum methodology • Ability to reproduce and communicate reproduction steps of a defect in writing or via video call • Experience delivering web-based applications • Experience consuming, designing and extending APIs (e.g., REST, CQRS) • Experience working with cloud-based applications and cloud tools, preferably AWS • Strong interpersonal skills with a drive to learn new technologies • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new processes, skills, technologies and tools • Ability to self-evaluate and rapidly adapt to change • Experience writing automated tests • Knowledge and experience in agile software development (e.g., SCRUM) • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
