📋 Description

• Lead the engineering organization behind nTop's product platform, including modeling and rendering, simulation, distributed computing, and quality engineering • Report to the CTO and lead a team of engineering managers • Own execution of the product platform roadmap by translating strategy into plans with clear ownership and sequencing • Hire, develop, and coach engineering managers and build an effective leadership team • Lead adoption of an AI-native software development lifecycle across the platform organization • Define and measure AI-assisted development practices and partner with external AI and hardware partners • Improve the end-to-end engineering process from planning through development, review, quality, and release • Automate testing and validation and remove delays between engineering steps • Deliver the next-generation product while continuing to ship and improve existing products • Partner with the Director of Product Management and platform product managers on feasibility, sequencing, and risk • Represent platform engineering with the CTO, R&D leadership, and the company

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience leading engineering organizations, including managing engineering managers across multiple teams • A record of making an engineering organization faster by changing how a team plans, builds, tests, or ships, with measurable results • Experience delivering a new product from zero to one while keeping existing products healthy • Hands-on experience leading adoption of AI-assisted development in an engineering organization • Clear point of view on how AI-assisted development changes process, staffing, and quality • Technical depth sufficient to be credible with expert engineers in geometry, GPU computing, physics simulation, or distributed systems • Exceptional prioritization and decision-making under an ambitious timeline • Experience in CAD, CAE, PLM, other engineering software, or another domain where mistakes are costly and customers move deliberately • Experience building real-time collaborative or multi-user systems • Experience modernizing quality engineering toward automated, continuous testing • Experience leading distributed teams across US and European time zones • Familiarity with C++ and Python codebases and GPU-accelerated computing
