📋 Description

• Shape next-generation features for the brand-new Olo app and bring the post-MVP vision to life • Gather feedback from the growing user base and fix reported bugs • Help plan the app feature roadmap • Provide input into the direction of the iOS and Android codebases • Demonstrate proficiency in the team's domain and technology stack • Guide and mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making • Address technical debt through prioritisation, refactoring, and system improvements • Own complex features and projects from concept to delivery • Lead code reviews and improve code quality • Partner with Product and stakeholders to refine requirements • Deliver reliable, maintainable software with performance optimisations and resilience mechanisms • Monitor and maintain production services and resolve critical issues • Participate in distributed-systems architecture and design • Improve development processes, tooling, and automation • Maintain consistency and quality in shared components and APIs • Contribute to the knowledge base and lead learning sessions • Use Claude Code in the daily workflow • Own the delivery pipeline, including code quality, testing, and deployment practices • Participate in required on-call duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, specifically focused on native mobile development • Advanced proficiency in native Android mobile development using Kotlin • Experience independently designing and implementing complex algorithms and architectures • Skill in managing and improving CI/CD processes, with hands-on experience using tools like GitHub Actions • Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices • Strong emphasis on automation for testing and deployment • Leadership skills including mentoring peers, leading technical discussions, and collaborating across teams and departments
