📋 Description

• Partner with the VP of Engineering, C-Suite, Product leadership, and business stakeholders to turn company goals into executable technical strategies • Define and drive the company-wide AI development roadmap • Establish AI development practices, tools, and mindset across engineering • Own the overarching architectural vision of the platform • Guide the long-term evolution of services while balancing rapid iteration with security, privacy, and uptime requirements • Elevate engineering standards through architectural reviews and mentorship of Staff and Senior engineers • Model a culture of speed, rigor, and simplicity • Serve as the technical voice in high-stakes conversations with clients, partners, and cross-functional executives • Align technology with core business value

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record designing, evolving, and maintaining complex, high-scale services • Experience with Ruby, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PHP • Deep expertise in distributed systems, scale, and reliability • Expertise with relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL • Experience with cloud infrastructure including AWS Aurora, RDS, and SQS • Thought leadership in AI-assisted software engineering • Ability to shape how teams pair with AI to eliminate toil • Exceptional ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders, executives, and customers • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field • Demonstrated history of technical leadership at scale
