📋 Description

• Lead all financial, accounting, treasury, and investor-relations activities • Develop and execute financing strategy, capital formation, and fundraising with the CEO • Oversee financial planning, reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and audits • Build scalable financial operations for pharmaceutical R&D, clinical development, and future commercial activity • Manage working capital, cost optimization, cash forecasting, annual budgets, and equity administration • Coordinate insurance coverage and risk management • Establish investor and Board communications and engage prospective investors • Lead M&A, licensing, and strategic partnership transactions • Provide financial leadership for long-range planning and cross-functional growth initiatives • Collaborate with the CEO, senior leadership, Board, Legal, Compliance, and People teams • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Deep expertise in life science corporate financial strategy, planning, and capital management • Strong fundraising track record across private and public capital markets and investor relations • Proven transactions experience including mergers, acquisitions, licensing, IPOs, and strategic exits • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, compliance, and financial reporting • Experience building scalable systems, processes, and teams in a high-growth environment • Excellent analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving abilities • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders • Strong ethical judgment, professionalism, and discretion • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required • 10+ years of financial leadership experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical companies, including clinical-stage organizations • Experience supporting a biotech startup through late-stage clinical development and early commercialization • Experience with top-tier investment banks and analysts across MedTech and Biopharma • Familiarity with venture-backed biotech financing structures, non-dilutive mechanisms, and grants • Track record preparing organizations for public-company-level readiness • Strong orthopedic-industry relationships with potential strategic partners
