📋 Description

• Perform field service, including repairs, preventative maintenance, qualifications, and installation and validation of instrumentation and accessories • Provide onsite user training on defined product groups • Organize monthly routine maintenance • Perform service on behalf of PerkinElmer overseas offices when requested • Maintain current service documentation, manuals, safety materials, and procedures in accordance with the Quality Management System • Align working practices with department performance targets and demonstrate compliance with team targets • Maintain service spares and inventory records, reporting and resolving anomalies • Ensure tools and test equipment are adequate and calibrated as required • Submit service documentation, reports, timesheets, expense claims, and vehicle log sheets weekly or as required • Promote and sell instruments, service products, consumables, and service contracts • Support Material Characterization products, including FTIR, UV/Vis, and Thermal Analysis, and the Inorganic portfolio, including AA, ICP-OES, and ICP-MS • Maintain a high-standard professional image and demonstrate the value of customer support as a company ambassador

🎯 Requirements

• HND or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Science, Biotechnology or similar discipline • Full Driving License • 5 years experience in a Scientific or Customer Service Environment • Experience of working in GMP environments preferred • Understanding of analytical techniques, applications and instrumentation a benefit • Excellent people management and motivational skills • Willingness to work field-based across North England and the Midlands, with occasional travel across the UK, Ireland and Mainland Europe
