• Drive growth, retention, and productivity through onboarding, ongoing education, and development strategies • Develop and execute standard processes and programs supporting Petco quality and safety standards • Provide leadership, direction, and training for Vet Services education matters across the NSC/SSC and field • Participate in long-term business planning to grow the core services business • Serve as business lead and subject matter expert to create guest- and pet-focused learning curricula • Lead in-person and online training courses for new and existing Vet Services partners • Track onboarding training progress and completion • Partner with Talent Development and external vendors to develop learning assets and provide content, feedback, and business signoff • Collaborate with NSC organizations to lead key initiatives through successful, on-time field deployment • Analyze people performance, sales, and expenses to identify opportunities for learning solutions • Engage in field clinics to understand partner and guest experiences and identify best practices and training opportunities • Co-create long-term learning strategy and roadmap and prioritize learning opportunities • Create and maintain reporting and analysis for Vet Services training and education • Develop reports analyzing productivity and retention by store, district, zone, region, and company • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, quality, and product-specific requirements • Collaborate with Field Leadership and HR to create consistent onboarding and continuing education programs • Provide oversight and direction for partner training and education • Ensure Vet Services team members remain current on products, trainings, and programs
• College degree in related field and 5 years equivalent or relevant training and education experience • Licensed or Registered Veterinary Technician certification preferred • Strong strategic business skills • Strong leadership skills • Strong and effective communication skills • Ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams • Extensive experience in a high sales and service training environment • Prior experience leading organizational change and championing a service culture • Knowledge of training documentation systems/methods • Knowledge of adult learning theories, including assessments and competency-based training • Ability to meet deadlines and fact-check information • Excellent observation skills and attention to detail • Working knowledge of MS Office • Ability to drive/facilitate decisions • Ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams • Ability to operate in a self-directed capacity after initial training • Ability to influence without direct authority at all levels of the organization
