📋 Description

• Build fast, ambitious modern web applications that delight clients • Collaborate with the product team to build features with significant business impact • Identify bottlenecks and improve the frontend developer experience • Work with the design team to build elegant and intuitive UI components • Understand business context and develop creative engineering solutions • Work within a small, nimble team of technical experts • Apply high coding standards, attention to detail, and a methodical work process • Promote maintainability, reuse, clean code, and unit testing • Develop automated unit and acceptance tests • Research and apply the latest technologies and best solutions • Coach teammates through code reviews and whiteboarding sessions • Participate in team-level solution design and implementation • Contribute to technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle • Influence technical decisions, frontend architecture, and engineering best practices for Phorest’s payments platform

🎯 Requirements

• 4–8+ years’ professional experience with React, Ember.js, or another modern JavaScript framework • Strong understanding of JavaScript, modern frontend development, and web fundamentals • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs • Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and contribute to architectural and engineering decisions • Commitment to clean, maintainable, well-tested code and engineering excellence • Collaborative mindset and ability to influence technical direction and raise engineering standards • Experience with Ember.js or willingness to learn it (nice to have) • Background in payments, fintech, or e-commerce (nice to have) • GraphQL experience (bonus)
