• Manage projects and activities related to food systems priorities within supply chain transformation and climate mitigation and resilience strategies • Promote and support health care organizations in making food purchasing and food service commitments that advance climate action • Manage health care commitment campaigns, including the Coolfood pledge, US Food Waste Pact, and values-based food purchasing commitment • Develop, update, and refine how-to guides, tool kits, checklists, webinars, and other resources • Engage Practice Greenhealth partners in implementing best practices in food purchasing, menus, and food service operations • Engage hospital staff, health professionals, food supply chain stakeholders, community food system partners, and allied organizations • Design and execute collective actions addressing climate mitigation, resilience, and equity • Develop annual workplans and implement strategies supporting program objectives • Support fundraising activities and maintain funder relationships • Build and manage relationships with food supply chain stakeholders, external partners, and coalitions • Advise hospital partners, troubleshoot barriers, and develop solutions • Develop presentations, resources, tools, and other promotional and implementation materials • Plan, facilitate, produce, edit, and deliver presentations, articles, blogs, press releases, newsletters, reports, webinars, and CleanMed conference content • Coordinate contracts and Memorandums of Understanding and manage project partnerships • Participate in budgeting, work planning, grant development, strategic planning, and program evaluation • Maintain partner activity and contact records in organizational databases and file management systems
• Minimum BA or BS; combined experience/education may substitute • Minimum 3 years in project coordination in a nonprofit, government, consulting, or health care setting • Experience or expertise in food systems, nutrition, public health, and/or health care operations • Knowledge of climate change issues and impacts on health • Demonstrated knowledge of the intersection of climate change and food systems • Ability to implement annual workplans and manage time efficiently • Ability to collaborate effectively across the organization • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and track, measure, and achieve project goals • Experience managing internal and external relationships with multiple stakeholders • Ability to develop and implement advocacy campaigns and educational content and organize events • Good written communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Drive, and Google Documents • Previous knowledge of or ability to learn Slack • Relevant graduate study and/or certifications preferred • 4+ years of experience with institutional food purchasing, health care food service, and/or sustainability and equity in food systems preferred • Experience with matrix organizations, multiple teams, virtual organizations, nonprofit advocacy, or membership-based organizations preferred
