📋 Description

• Provide clinical leadership for Psychiatry UK's Children and Young People services • Lead and support the multidisciplinary clinical team through expert guidance and best-practice promotion • Partner with the Clinical Director and operational leaders to shape and develop CYP services • Drive innovation, service transformation, and continuous quality improvement • Oversee clinical governance and compliance with CQC, safeguarding, and regulatory standards • Monitor clinical performance, patient outcomes, and service quality using data, audits, and patient feedback • Support clinician recruitment, induction, supervision, mentoring, and professional development • Chair and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings • Optimise clinical capacity, workforce planning, and patient pathways with operational colleagues • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Support integrated working, service development, and growth of Psychiatry UK's CYP services

🎯 Requirements

• Medical degree with postgraduate qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent) • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise • Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry • Extensive Consultant-level clinical experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry • Demonstrable experience providing clinical leadership within a complex healthcare environment • Experience leading, supervising, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary clinical teams • Evidence of participation in clinical audit, quality improvement, and service development initiatives • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding, patient safety, and relevant regulatory standards • Extensive knowledge of evidence-based assessment and treatment approaches for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and wider child and young people's mental health conditions • Experience delivering clinical education, teaching, or mentoring • Research experience, including publications or presentations relating to mental health or Children and Young People (CYP) • Experience leading service development, transformation, or innovation projects within healthcare • Experience of budget management and resource planning within clinical services • Knowledge of epidemiology, healthcare evaluation, and statistical analysis relevant to mental health services • Experience using clinical data and analytics to drive performance improvement and service delivery • Project and change management experience • Experience developing and implementing clinical risk management and safeguarding frameworks • Strong IT skills, including electronic health records, clinical databases, and reporting systems • Commercial awareness • Applicants must reside in the UK
