📋 Description

• Interview patients by phone through inbound and outbound efforts while completing the pre-registration process • Comply with regulatory requirements during pre-registration, including completing the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire • Educate patients about their estimated out-of-pocket financial responsibility • Collect patient liabilities within organizational guidelines • Escalate high-dollar out-of-pocket accounts at risk for non-patient payment before services are rendered • Resolve patient demographic and insurance discrepancies using various system tools • Accurately document patient interview outcomes while delivering excellent customer service • Observe privacy, safety, and security procedures and properly use equipment and materials • Work effectively in a remote call center environment free from distractions and background noise • Serve as a subject matter expert and go-to resource for peers on complex registration, insurance, workflow, and patient financial responsibility matters • Interact with providers, payers, patients, and hospital-based personnel • Support workflow accuracy and help reduce bad debt, write-offs, and front-end-related denials

🎯 Requirements

• Proficient in typing • General knowledge of medical terminology • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English, verbally and in writing • Bilingual skills are a plus • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills • High school graduate or equivalent • Ability to work in a remote call center environment free from distractions and background noise • One year of related medical-field experience is preferred
