📋 Description

• Build and operate a secure, cloud-native platform supporting federal health data, analytics, and AI/ML • Own the internal developer platform used by data scientists, data engineers, and application teams • Evolve Terraform and ArgoCD ApplicationSets to provide a declarative, self-healing, recoverable platform • Build and operate multi-tenant, self-service onboarding, tenant and environment management, catalogs, and internal developer tooling/CLI • Run Kubernetes on AWS GovCloud across development, pre-production, and production • Architect and deploy AIOps/MLOps capabilities including GPU compute, model training and serving, managed notebooks, GenAI/Bedrock workloads, and ML pipelines • Enable the data lakehouse using Trino/Iceberg, Glue, S3, Dagster, dbt, and search • Deliver observability and SLOs with Prometheus, Grafana, custom dashboards, and actionable alerting • Automate security and compliance through secrets management, network policy, IRSA least privilege, policy-as-code, vulnerability remediation, and ATO artifact generation • Maintain platform documentation, production-readiness standards, and runbooks • Partner with government stakeholders and platform tenants to translate mission needs into platform capabilities • Contribute to production-grade MLOps, self-service onboarding, and a paved path from commit to GovCloud

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineering, with senior-level ownership of a production platform • Built an internal developer platform / PaaS from the ground up for federal clients and taken it to production through ATO in a federal program • Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD, Karpenter/KEDA, Prometheus/Grafana/Loki, Trino, Dagster, dbt, and AWS services including EKS, S3, Glue, IAM/IRSA, ECR, SageMaker, Bedrock, and Athena • Deep expertise with Kubernetes (EKS), GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux), and Terraform infrastructure-as-code • Experience designing golden paths, multi-tenancy, and self-service onboarding • Strong CI/CD background with GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and progressive delivery • Fluency in Python, Bash, and Go automation and scripting • Working knowledge of NIST 800-53, FISMA, and ATO processes • Comfortable working in GovCloud and regulated environments • Ability to create clear documentation and runbooks • Comfortable with client-facing work, mentoring teammates, and technical leadership growth • U.S. citizenship required • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; active Public Trust is a plus
