📋 Description

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Ruby on Rails • Build new features and improve existing platform functionality • Work with Product Managers to translate requirements into technical solutions and estimate development efforts • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested production code • Participate in code reviews, testing and technical decision-making • Troubleshoot issues and improve application performance, reliability and scalability • Collaborate with distributed engineering, product and infrastructure teams • Work alongside the CTO, Tech Lead and wider engineering team on scalable, AI-powered applications

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in backend or full-stack software engineering • Strong, hands-on Ruby on Rails experience, ideally recent and in production • Experience building and scaling production applications with real users • Ability to take ownership of features from requirements through development, testing and deployment • Previous experience in a startup, scale-up or similarly fast-paced environment • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance code quality with delivery speed • Excellent English and experience working with international teams • Full comfort working with uncensored AI companionship products and explicit NSFW content • Experience with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, Hotwire (Turbo and Stimulus), and Tailwind CSS • B2B contract arrangement preferred; flexible
