📋 Description

• Serve as Red Hat's technical lead for trusted software supply chain engagements, partnering with Account Solution Architects and Account Executives to drive Red Hat Lightwell adoption • Lead technical conversations with developers, build engineers, application and platform engineering leadership, and security and compliance organizations • Articulate Red Hat's differentiating position against market alternatives • Position software supply chain offerings within the broader Red Hat portfolio, including hardened container images, artifact signing, attestation, SBOM generation, pipeline policy enforcement, and runtime security • Configure and execute customer builds against Lightwell repositories and troubleshoot results alongside customer engineers • Facilitate pre- and post-sales technical deep dives, proofs of concept, bake-offs, internal sprints, hackathons, and partner vertical-specific solutions • Identify and partner with customer stakeholders and advocate within customer teams • Advise on integration with artifact management, mirroring, and pipeline environments, including disconnected and air-gapped environments • Provide product and solutions feedback to the Lightwell business unit and engineering teams • Execute community outreach and customer advocacy, including conference speaking and blog posts • Deliver enablement and mentoring to the Red Hat Technical Sales community • Collaborate with Lightwell, engineering, sales, Customer Success, Consulting Services, and partner teams to ensure a positive customer experience

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in a combination of software engineering, build/release engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, or technical sales, including direct responsibility for software with dependency and upgrade obligations • Demonstrated ability to work hands-on in a customer or production build environment • Working command of at least two of Maven, pip, and npm, including dependency resolution, transitive dependency behavior, lockfiles, and version constraint semantics • Practical understanding of enterprise build configuration, registry and repository settings, and public package registry proxying and mirroring • Hands-on experience with enterprise artifact repositories and internal mirrors • Ability to configure, execute, and troubleshoot builds alongside customer engineers • Understanding of build reproducibility, disconnected and air-gapped delivery, and multi-language codebases • Knowledge of SLSA build integrity levels and practical requirements of Level 3 • Knowledge of SBOM formats and lifecycle, including SPDX and CycloneDX • Knowledge of artifact signing and verification, including HSM-backed signing, attestation, and build/admission enforcement • Knowledge of VEX and CSAF and machine-readable exploitability data in vulnerability triage • Understanding of provenance, typosquatting, and dependency confusion threat models • Understanding of upstream open source contribution practice and remediation workflows • Experience delivering technical presentations and leading business value sessions • Credibility with engineering audiences and ability to hold leadership or executive conversations, including public speaking • Ability to represent product coverage and roadmap accurately without overstatement • Willingness to travel as needed • Preferred: sales engineering, technical sales, or similar experience, preferably at an enterprise software, SaaS, or systems integrator company • Preferred: professional software development experience in Java or Python ecosystems, including dependency management and release • Preferred: ownership of CI/CD systems, artifact repositories, or internal developer platforms at enterprise scale • Preferred: DevSecOps experience integrating security tooling and policy into delivery pipelines • Preferred: application or product security experience • Preferred: sustained participation in an upstream open source project • Preferred: foundational knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, and Ansible Automation Platform • Preferred: familiarity with compliance regimes relevant to the geography's key accounts and control automation
