📋 Description

• Own financial planning, forecasting and performance reporting across the group • Develop and prepare the annual budget and quarterly re-forecast using business drivers • Prepare and report the rolling three-month revenue and gross margin forecast • Prepare the group cashflow forecast, including working capital, stock purchasing and intercompany flows • Support target-setting and report performance against budget and target • Build scenario and sensitivity analysis for Board decision-making • Produce monthly performance reporting packs covering revenue, gross margin, cost of sales, overheads, cash and operational KPIs • Prepare monthly Board packs and slide decks with commentary • Own cost of sales analysis and margin bridge • Report on commercial performance of international entities • Issue mid-month revenue, gross margin and cash flash reports • Support investor updates with consistent, reconciled numbers and clear narrative • Design, develop and maintain a governed finance data warehouse integrating Xero, Spendesk, Stripe and Releaf's ERP • Implement and manage AI initiatives, workflows, prompts, training and measurement across finance • Lead reporting automation and replace manual consolidation • Establish AI guardrails, audit trails, data controls and documented planning/reporting workflows • Own unit economics and cohort analysis, including CAC, LTV and retention • Translate financial results for and challenge non-finance leaders • Support departmental cost analysis, budgeting, business cases and investment appraisal • Help colleagues outside finance use AI for reporting and analysis • Report to the Finance & Commercial Director and work directly with the CFO and Board

🎯 Requirements

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with at least three years post-qualification experience • Demonstrable ownership of budgeting, forecasting and management or Board reporting — not support of someone else's • Demonstrable production of Board packs and presentation of financial performance to senior leadership, with clear, decision-focused commentary • Advanced Excel: driver-based modelling, including with large datasets; ability to build a three-statement or driver model from scratch • Hands-on, current experience of using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot in finance work • Sound judgement on AI output; ability to check outputs before relying on them • Track record of building or materially improving a reporting process, ideally through automation and AI • Experience structuring and managing finance data for reporting or analytics • Evidence that analysis has changed a decision, with the number attached • Confident communicating with and challenging senior non-finance stakeholders • Comfortable with incomplete data and imperfect systems, and inclined to go and fix them • Desirable: repeatable AI workflows, SME or scale-up experience, multi-entity or group reporting, Xero, Spendesk, Stripe, Power BI or equivalent, SQL or Python, stock/cost of sales/supply-chain experience, regulated-sector experience, and ERP or reporting system implementation experience
