📋 Description

• Lead and manage two multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering reliable, scalable solutions addressing money laundering and financial crime • Support and develop approximately 10–12 engineers through coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities • Own and drive product delivery in alignment with the roadmap • Meet commitments, remove blockers, and ensure effective team operation • Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Leads, Support, Delivery, and other Engineering Managers • Refine and evolve engineering processes to improve operational discipline, predictability, and clarity • Contribute to the wider engineering community through agile practices, process improvements, and knowledge sharing • Promote psychological safety, role clarity, structured decision-making, accountability, proactivity, and trust • Engage in technical conversations despite the role not being hands-on coding

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in engineering leadership • Track record of implementing process improvements and raising operational standards • Experience in agile environments • Experience delivering production-grade software as part of a collaborative team • Technical credibility to engage confidently with engineers on design decisions, tooling, and technical trade-offs • Comfortable with structured planning and performance management • Experience aligning engineering efforts with company objectives • Familiarity with distributed systems and large-scale JavaScript codebases is a bonus • Solid working knowledge of modern programming languages and software development practices • Familiarity with k8s, Node.js, React, Python, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MongoDB and Redis is helpful but not essential
