📋 Description

• Own the software design and technology for a technical area of Labyrinth Screening. • Collaborate with wider engineering teams, technology and product leaders, and customers to establish requirements, design, and deliver high-quality software. • Incorporate engineering principles and methodologies into organisational decision-making, integrating problem definition, solution development, and quality assurance into business outcomes. • Contribute to standards, design patterns, and technology approaches across technical teams. • Ensure consistent application of architectural decisions and guidelines across Ripjar’s software products. • Scale the Labyrinth Screening SaaS platform to support more companies, data feeds, data items, and users. • Guide technical decisions, provide oversight for supported teams, and help shape the overall technology roadmap. • Design and deliver scalable cloud and on-premise software while articulating designs and trade-offs. • Influence engineering teams to adopt new ideas and practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep and broad experience building and designing software as an engineer and technical leader. • Experience working with big data or large-scale data processing systems. • Concrete knowledge and experience of software design patterns, industry best practices, and architecture design. • Demonstrated expertise deploying software into production environments. • Experience designing distributed systems managing extensive data and/or workloads. • Ability to comprehend complex scenarios, resolve uncertainty and ambiguity, and articulate complex-system architecture. • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and engage wider technical teams to drive internal growth and career progression. • Clear written, verbal, and visual communication tailored to different audiences. • Expertise in software engineering. • Strong working knowledge of one or more of JavaScript, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, MongoDB, Apache Kafka, EKS, and Kubernetes. • Experience with microservices architectures. • Demonstrable SaaS-platform scaling experience is highly desirable, particularly evolving and improving system architecture.
