• Lead internal and supplier containment actions with Operations and Quality • Facilitate supplier kick-off meetings and establish rapid response actions • Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations for critical quality or delivery issues • Develop, implement, review, and monitor supplier improvement plans and KPIs • Evaluate containment exit criteria and escalate persistent issues to crisis mode or tiger teams • Partner with Commodity Teams and SBUs to transition improvements into sustainable operations • Identify and prioritize supplier development opportunities based on risk, impact, and strategic commodity needs • Conduct supplier assessments using the OCRA tool • Engage suppliers through development roadmaps, training, targeted actions, maturity models, and long-term growth plans • Align supplier readiness with Commodity Managers and Engineering teams for new programs and volume ramp-ups • Facilitate structured improvement plans, KPI tracking, gate reviews, and sustainment planning • Monitor supplier performance and conduct re-engagement cycles • Develop manufacturing process technology tools and standardization, including FMEA and Control Plans • Lead or support supplier transitions and monitor post-transition supplier maturity • Execute APQP for new product launches and work transition projects • Collaborate with Commodity Managers, Quality Assurance and Engineering, Operations and Planning, SBUs, supplier leadership, and crisis response teams • Travel to supplier sites as needed
• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience • U.S. citizenship, U.S. person status, or qualifying immigration status required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program/contract • Knowledge and understanding of castings and/or forgings and their manufacturing • Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed, minimum 50% of the time • Experience working with cross-functional personnel • High communication skills and ability to develop relationships across Collins Aerospace business units • Strong work orientation and organization • Ability to apply CORE principles and tools to manage processes, continuous improvement, systems, and benchmarking • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Access • Experience with supplier recovery, capability improvement, supplier assessments, and structured improvement plans • Knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, and APQP • Ability to manage crisis situations and long-term supplier development actions
