📋 Description

• Develop scalable JVM microservices with Spring Boot for banking platform solutions • Design payment services using domain-driven design, eventual consistency, and resilience patterns • Collaborate with product, QA, security, and operations teams to release changes under agreed engineering standards • Own the design, build, and maintenance of software components supporting the Core Engineering team • Design and evolve end-to-end payment flows, including processing, routing, status handling, refunds, and reversals • Integrate payment providers, banks, and partner channels while handling failure modes gracefully • Build and maintain scalable, reliable APIs and services • Contribute to internal SDKs and frameworks enabling product teams to launch payment use cases • Investigate payment incidents involving stuck, duplicated, or inconsistent transactions and improve self-healing • Translate functional requirements into technical solutions and maintainable implementations • Contribute to code and configuration reviews

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of software development on the JVM • Good knowledge of Kotlin is an advantage • Experience with Spring Boot in a microservice environment • Experience with domain-driven design and eventual consistency • Experience with payments, banking, or other transactional/financial systems, including payment platforms, PSP integrations, wallets, or ledgers • Solid understanding of idempotency, distributed transactions, retries, and timeouts in money flows • Track record in an agile setup with continuous deployment and delivery • Experience with containerization and orchestration in a cloud environment • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes preferred • AWS experience preferred • Experience with, and enjoyment of, continuous knowledge-sharing within the team • Kafka, workflow engines, and ISO 20022 are nice to have • Ability to work core collaboration hours from 1:00 to 7:00 PM Manila time (UTC+8)
