📋 Description

• Build and maintain Python web APIs, containerised and cloud-agnostic • Provision and manage cloud resources with Terraform • Design scalable infrastructure using established design patterns and reference architectures • Own deployments end to end in a true DevOps model • Help the team manage infrastructure directly • Integrate with modern SaaS APIs, including GraphQL, and traditional FTP • Build observability and security into every design • Document architecture with diagrams-as-code • Work test-first, with quality built in • Build and run cloud-based web APIs • Contribute to a product team building zero-to-one innovations on a multi-year roadmap • Optimise AI workloads that scale to meet client needs

🎯 Requirements

• Contract role • Preferred location: UK • Strong experience building and deploying infrastructure on at least one major cloud: AWS, GCP or Azure; willingness to work across them • Python and Docker for web APIs • Kubernetes in production • Terraform; CloudFormation or similar is a bonus • Git and DevOps practice, ideally including monorepos • Integration experience with varied APIs • OAuth2 and OIDC • Test-first, quality-driven approach • Clear written and spoken communication • Nice to have: serverless functions, queues, API management, key-value stores • Nice to have: open source contributions • Curious, proactive, and collaborative working style
