📋 Description

• Define and document enterprise-wide standards for AI integration, including prompt engineering patterns and validation frameworks • Identify AI-generated code pitfalls, including security vulnerabilities and over-abstraction, and quantify business impact through PR velocity and quality metrics • Lead the design and evolution of highly available, scalable infrastructure • Architect CI/CD ecosystems and developer tooling to reduce software delivery friction and improve productivity • Serve as a subject matter expert for platform security and implement safeguards and compliance standards • Drive the system observability roadmap, including monitoring, tracing, and alerting architectures • Liaise between engineering, product, and quantitative teams to translate requirements into scalable platform solutions • Mentor engineers, manage incident response strategies, promote operational excellence, and advocate for emerging technologies

🎯 Requirements

• 8 plus years of experience in platform engineering or DevOps • Proven track record architecting scalable, high-availability cloud-native environments using AWS and Kubernetes • Expert proficiency with AI collaborators such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot • Ability to evaluate AI tools and implement validation strategies for over-abstraction and security gaps • Deep technical mastery of Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation • Strong programming proficiency in Java and Python; Golang preferred • Full-stack background bridging infrastructure and application logic • Extensive experience building mature CI/CD pipelines • Experience with advanced observability, chaos testing, and incident management frameworks • Ability to balance architectural standards with data-driven productivity metrics • Exceptional communication and partnership skills across engineering, product, and quantitative teams • Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must be based in the United Kingdom
