📋 Description

• Work with an outstanding team of backend engineers on our product definition system and making it drive more features across all of our Spotify systems. • Work with squads across the Subscriptions mission on centralising the premium product portfolio. • Build out a new system to define product availability, pricing and discounts across Spotify markets. • Ensure timely delivery of technical solutions to address business needs. • Collaborate with key internal partners and stakeholders to determine how to scalably design backend systems and APIs. • Develop core systems that power product features across plans, including APIs and datasets and systems that manage feature access (e.g., audiobook consumption or on-demand playback). • Balance exploration with hands-on implementation, take ownership and drive initiatives of various sizes, and partner closely with other teams.

🎯 Requirements

• You have at least two years of experience as a backend engineer. • Hands-on experience with Java and building APIs, ideally with gRPC. • Experience with, or a strong interest in learning, modern cloud and data technologies, including Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and data processing frameworks like Scio. • Possess a solid foundation in system design, data structures, and algorithms. • Strong collaborator who enjoys working with internal partners to understand their needs and build the right solutions.
