📋 Description

• Provide strategic legal direction on major company initiatives • Oversee and manage the legal team • Advise on regulatory, entity, incentive-structuring, and employee-contract considerations for new products and potential spin-outs • Act as a trusted legal advisor to senior leadership and key executives • Lead legal work for treasury operations, including trading documentation and derivatives agreements • Negotiate traditional finance legal matters • Provide day-to-day counsel across corporate, commercial/IP, employment, and operational matters • Support Product, Growth, and Operations teams with legal and compliance integration • Maintain and adjust legal policies, controls, and governance practices • Represent Legal at Board meetings as required

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience operating at General Counsel or senior legal leadership level • Strong Web3/crypto and traditional finance (TradFi) legal experience • Expertise in regulatory, employment, product, financial, and commercial/IP law • Experience managing or overseeing a legal team, ideally during change or high growth • Experience advising on corporate structuring, including entity formation or spin-outs • Comfortable representing Legal at Board level and communicating with senior executives and stakeholders • Able to operate independently in a remote, globally distributed organization • Sufficient working-hours overlap to collaborate with a European-based team • Available to start on short notice • Flexible to support a structured handover at the beginning and end of the engagement
